New Zoo Studies
It's been a while since I posted any of my own stuff. So, I'm rectifying that now.
In the vein of the Art Gone Wild work, a series mostly referenced from our visit to the Milwaukee County Zoo last month (with the exception of the lappet-faced vulture referenced from Zoo Atlanta).
It was an incredible zoo and I'd recommend it if you're in the area. They had a few animals I hadn't seen before and it was laid out quite nicely. My only bit of disappointment was that the hyenas were not out. I would have loved some reference of those guys.
Finally, I'll end on this guy. The greater Malayan chevrotain. A wild looking creature typically referred to as a "mouse deer" which is as good a summary of what it looks like as I can come up with. Fun fact- apparently this character's hind quarters are higher than it's head when it stands on all four legs.
